Hello.
Ehab Bandar is a concept-led, people-focused, experience architect and product design lead.
Ehab grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Boston College, and a Master’s degree in City Planning at California Polytechnic in San Luis Obispo. There he took the art and practice of designing for people in the physical environment (streets, buildings, parks), and focused it on a different kind of interface, technology. It was in grad school where he was first exposed to the central theme in his work: the bottom-up, humanistic design philosophy versus the top-down master plan approach that’s typically found in urban planning.
Ehab got his start in design and technology working at Citibank in New York, followed by Wells Fargo in San Francisco, Intuit in Silicon Valley, and the dotcom startups in SoMa. He went on to found his own practice, focused on bringing simplicity to complex systems and interactions. In his spare time, he has tapped his passion for cooking to serve up several food and wine apps, including the acclaimed Pair It! mobile app and Foodfolio website.
Over the past 20 years, his work has spanned from product management and user research to information architecture and interaction design — always with an eye toward creating top-line experiences that increase an organization’s bottom line. His clients include fintech organizations, such as Bank of the West, Intuit, and Wells Fargo, and technology companies such as ZipRealty, WebEx, and Shaklee. He has taught graduate students at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and advised startups at the Plug and Play incubator in Sunnyvale, including Credit Sesame, Room77, and TravelMuse.
